As you gaze out of the window
               at the Masseria Palombara Grande:

on the left it is possible to glimpse
boats taking advantage of the breeze
billowing their sails on the Adriatic Sea,

while on the right you can see
the rolling hills and the town of Ostuni,
otherwise known as the ‘White City’,
               that dominates the vast landscape
               of centuries-old Apulian olive groves.

Property of the Ghionda family since its construction in 1776, it is precisely at the heart

of these olive groves that the Masseria Palombara Grande can be found.

The typically ‘white’ Apulian style masseria has a ‘palombara’, or ‘dovecot’ above it,

where even today, white doves continue to make their nests.
